The situation: San Diego Padres 4, Philadelphia Phillies 3, bottom of the ninth, Ryan Howard on first on a bloop single against that overshifted infield to left field. Raul Ibanez at the plate with a 2-0 count:
"High towering drive, could it be, could it be? IT IS OUTTA HERE! RAUL IBANEZ HAS HIT A TWO RUN HOME RUN AND THE PHILLIES HAVE COME FROM BEHIND AND BEATEN THE SAN DIEGO PADRES, 5-4!"
"OH, BROTHER! Hard to believe this game's easy, Harry."
Well, that's the way it was heard up there yesterday (4/19).
I'm desparately searching for this video....but supposedly CSN Philly (and/or the Phillies) are playing a tape of Harry Kalas saying "It's Outta Here" everytime the Phils hit a homerun.
ReplyDeleteThe Phillies are doing that, my friend.
ReplyDeleteJust a heads up.....I've just read from a reliable source that Olbermann is out today and David Shuster is going to be hosting again.
ReplyDeleteThat'd be about as reliable as, say, a Bill Orally statement about the Madrid Business Journal?
