And did we need that graphic? Meanwhile, eleven Good Oldboysandgirls Party Senators who were against her appointment in 1995 to Court of Appeals are still in office. Number 4: It looks like that Judge Sotomayor will have the needed 60 votes but don't tell that to Michael Steele "Sieve", GOP figurehead leader. Prof. Jonathon Turley looks at the legal matters of her nomination. In a subplot of the segment, California's Supreme Court upheld Prop 8, but allowed the 18,000 pre-banishment joint agreements for their living partners.

Meanwhile, WEWS anchors celebrate LeBron's big shots.

Sorry kids, no Still Bushed! or Whiskey Tango Foxtrot Moment this evening. Join us manana.
You've gotta be kidding me?!?!? Erich "Mancow" Muller is actually appearing on Countdown? Never thought I'd see the day. This is almost stranger than seeing Scott McClellan on Countdown.
ReplyDeleteNo, that's why the subhead was changed.
ReplyDeleteYou do realize that by a mile, Obama's biggest impact as president of the United States will be without a doubt on the Supreme Court. At the start of the presidency, it was highly speculated that Obama would have up to 3 Supreme Court nominations in his first 4 years. It would be shocking if Stevens and Ginsburg last for another 4 years and there's a chance that Scalia could step down before the end of 4 years. Souter was not projected to retire during Obama's 1st term. A liberal presence such as this on the court could be very instrumental in determining some of the nation's policies in the near future. Now myself being a liberal, especially on social issues, I am quite happy about the future appointments from Obama and his pick of Sotomeyer is in many ways a good one, in my view.
