Blatant Plugola For a Story on Another Site

I paid a favor to our pal Mookie over at Stupid Sideline Reporters following a comment he made during Conference Championship Sunday this past January that he owed me doing a story anytime.

I paid up in full with interest this week.  Each week during the NFL season, he does a weekly feature titled "What the Losers Are Saying," where he collects the comments of blogs of teams that didn't do very well that week.  In case you missed it, the Cleveland Browns held a 24-3 lead near the end of the first quarter.  What happened to them in Detroit would then become the NFL's biggest implosion since The Kingdome went "Boom goes the dynamite," as the home town Lions came back to win the game (which is usually an oxymoron in Detroit) 38-37.

Here's my special "What The Losers Are Saying" featuring the Cleveland Browns Epic Failure.  Just wanted to use this for my 400th post after all.

A Rainout, No Live Blog and Nothing Else To See...Move Along...

All righty, two quick notes for you:

  1. Game Six of the 2009 ALCS has been postponed until tomorrow (10/25) at 8:20 PM US EDT becuase of heavy rains, a thunderstorm and high winds.  The same stuff I get here in Philadelphia.  If a seventh game is needed, that would be Monday (10/26) at 7:55 PM US EDT.
  2. No NFL live blog for us (JFein, Keith, et al) this week.  Mookie, like his Seahawks, decided to take a bye week, so may we suggest a visit to the new site being assisted by those at Awful Announcing, 12stepdrop.com for you live blogging needs.
Other than that, nothing to see, please move along.  Other than that, the Football Night in America live blog for tomorrow is still on.

Dear Keith: It's A Trap...Don't Fall For It!

Remember Thursday's show?  The one where Keith called out Betsy McCaughey, former Lieutenant Governor of the State of New York?  The one where she is a spokesperson for a group run by the pharmasutical companies against universal health care?

Well, look what we have here.
At TVNewser.com, she has challenged Keith to a debate. Lah-de-fricking-dah.  She's a shill for big pharma.  She's so far to the right, she makes Michael Weinersavage, Sean Inanity, Comedian Rush Limbaugh (de facto GOP leader) and even Bill Orally look sane by comparison.

Keith, even if you read this blog, do not even think of challenging her to this debate.  She's never understood what part of the word "shill" she's never heard of.  She's much better off being a member of a political party after switching from the Grand Oldboys Party to one that checks their sanity in at the membership drive, and has as much of a chance of winning the White House as, say, Andy Reid losing 100 pounds on the NurtiSystem for Men plan.

You should know that instead of chasing a stalker/producer out after her like your main rival, if you can call him that, you should ignore this call.  Maybe instead, you should do one of those Special Comments about how nuttier than a banana split she is.

"Flexing" One's Muscles

It's official: The Sunday Night Football telecast for December 7th is changing from Patriots-Seahawks (considering how sucktacular the Seahawks are with Elizabeth Hasselbeck's brother-in-law at QB this year) to Redskins-Ravens, this according to Awful Announcing. Also, it's rumored that the December 21st game between the Chargers and the Buccaneers will be swapped out for the Panthers-Giants game, one that could be deciding home field in the NFC. The Chargers' playoff hopes have gone down faster than Comedian Rush Limbaugh on a torte binge at an Edelmann's bakery, and Sunday night's (11/23) loss on a Adam Viniteri walkoff field goal to the Colts won't help them get the December 21st prime time date.
