Why I Am Ignoring USA-Canada Men's Ice Hockey...As Well As The Rest of the Winter Olympics

Today brings about the biggest international hockey game involving the USA in three decades.  And it will NOT be broadcast in the good old USA on free TV.  That's right.  The National Broadcasting Company, worldwide leaders in ladies' hygene products called douchebags, point out the the Olympics are dominated in the rating by women 18-49, especially in prime time, with "plausably live" broadcasts since 1992 that are even more "plausably live" on the West Coast and have ignored the triple dubs and ESPN for spoilers, is telecasting the game on MSNBC, which BTW was not forced upon them by Uncle Keith.  And what's NBC showing?  The most gayest event in the history of sports, ice dancing.  That's right, motherfucking ice dancing!

NHL officials, especially Gary Bettman, the league's commissioner, are furious, and are now officially considering pulling out of the next Winter Olympiad four years hence in Sofia, Russia.  Okay, NBC fucked up both Jay Leno and Conan O'Brien (soon coming to the Fox Broadcasting Company channel near you this September), get bashed on a regular basis by Billo the Clown, and now THIS?  Douchebags - wait, check that - douchenozzles indeed.  And J. Pierpont Comcast is taking over.

If I was Gary Bettman, I tell the head of the International Ice Hockey Federation to stick it four years from now.  Then I tell Comcast to go away when the NHL deals with NBC and Versus expire.  Finally, I open bidding for the OTA and cable contracts combined for ESPN on ABC ABC and ESPN, Fox and FX, and CBS and Spike TV (or any combo of these) hope one of them gets the next pair of Olympics following London.

Countdown Live Blog: 11/11/09

The Tie: Purple.

Number 5: Tea Party protestors inflated their numbers, and now they will go back to the town hall meetings in misinforming America on health care.  Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-TN) is having them done in prisons, on the phone, and now will astroturf their own events.  Roll that not-so-beautiful astroturfing footage.  Meanwhile, Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC) will personally seek to kill any bill with public options in it.  Howard Fineman, are there some straight jackets available to the Good Oldboysandgirls Party?

And speaking of last week's media opportunity, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN DWARF STAR PLUTO) apologized for use of a picture from Dacau and was not ideal, even for those fifteen feet away.  And she didn't use the word "sorry" at all.  In addition, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart showed the same footage from Inanity's show that was also used by Prof. Harold Hill's program, both on Fixed Propaganda Channel, and Bachmann also used her taxpayer-funded site to promote the "press conference" held a couple weeks ago.  Clarence Page, is there a method to her madness (if she had any)?

Number 4: When paying veterans who are under 65 with over 2,200 passed away for a lack of insurance and Sen. Tom Colburn (R-OK) holds a bill endorsed by every veterans organization increasing veterans' benefits, especially on this date.  And with that, every day according to Harvard University, six of them die.  Paul Reickhoff, a leader of a veterans group of those in Iraq and Afghanistan, joins us.

Oddball: In 1938, Typhoid Mary Mallon, died. The new Highway 64 won't be opening for a while thanks to another week thanks to an avalanche.  In New Zealand, four baby sharks was born via an unscheduled Caesarian Section.

Best Persons: 3 - Principal Suzy Shepard has a new funding source: One dollar = one test report.  Bribery  2 - Pirate Rupert didn't say anything about Prof. Harold Hill was agreeing about Obama being a racist...or did he? 1 - Miss Wasilla was flummoxed about the design of the new presidential dollar according to Fixed Propaganda.

Musical Segue: The Ohio Players' "Fire".  Once again, I'd like to say FUCK YOU FRANK CENTOLA AND HIS FUCKING FAMILY!

Number 3: And speaking of Tina Fey's Evil Twin Sister, her new book, Going Rogue has five chapters.  Five long chapters according to a story leaked out, throwing John McCain staffers from last year under the tour bus, and her faith beliefs.  And she wants to be a talk show host.  (Personally, I might be setting some sort of record for most tags in a live Countdown blog.)  Richard Wolffe, himself an author, joins us to riffle through it all.

Number 2 (Worst Persons in the World)
Bronze - Lou Dobbs has quit his CNN job.  Who wants a used Lou Dobbs?  Who wants a used Lou Dobbs impression? (Where's my teeth?)
Silver - Billo is back in paranoid mode, evoking a note that he has the biggest rated show on TV.
Gold - The American Colalition for Clean Coal Electricity sent forged letters on NAACP to congresspersons on their stand, and then sent two veterans group some e-mails on their stand on this important date.

Number 1: I disliked Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (even if he blew the line he had in Airplane! about dragging [Bill] Lambeer and [Bill] Walton up and down the court forty minutes a night on Celebrity Jeopardy!; can you imagine Will Ferrell as Alex Trebek and Darrell Hammond as Sean Connery mocking him on SNL if that was scripted?) when he faced the 76ers back in the 1980's, but now he has a rare from of leukemia and now I am feeling for him as he speaks to Keith tonight about the health care crisis.

And with that, we'll see you tomorrow night.

Countdown Live Blog: 8/27/09

The Tie: Rust, yellow, black and cream stripes.

Number 5: The crowds have waited hours to say their farewell to Sen. Edward Kennedy at his brother's Presidential Library in Boston. A private mass at Cape Cod, then an 80-plus motorcade to Boston. Andrea Mitchell reports from the state capital of Massachusetts.

And who will fill the seat that now stands vacant, now that a interim senator will be named? The law needs to be change by the Democrats, and Gov. Deval Patrick will fill in the story. Howard Fineman, what can you tell us?

Number 4: There is a Twitter feed now on the vigil from the Kennedy family, and then there is the whole health care he fought for. Sen John McCain (R-AZ) was asked about the possible spark on the whole enchilada, and slammed him. He's willing to cross party lines, and the members of the Good Oldboysandgirls Party voted against it, and then the public option as well. Lawrence O'Donnell joins us to dissect this like a frog in biology class.

Oddball: Krakatoa, East of Java blew up in 1883. Craig Kilborn and the 1969 movie producer flunked geography. Krakatoa was actually northwest of Java. A Chinese woman has kung fu nunnery. And before she cut her head, she pulled eight cars with her locks. London Zoo's female gorilla population has a photo of a French gorilla coming soon.

Best Persons: 3 - The Murdoch Street Journal had a conflict with Mark Penn. 2 - Steve Inskeep of NPR didn't fall for Michael Steele Sieve's trap. 1 - A AstroTurf conservative group is suspending their health care ad campaign due to the death of Sen. Kennedy.

Musical Segue: The Chairman of the Board's "The Best is Yet To Come."

Number 3: Say hello to Rep. Lynn Jenkins (R-KS) who had a faux pas on the wording of "The Great White Hope" and was unaware about the traditional GOP white person seven months into Obama's presidential term. Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) said it was a Freudian slip and apologized, and oh here we go...

Number 2 (Worst Persons in the World)
Bronze - Skeezix attacked MSNBC as paranoid and racist. Pot, kettle.
Silver - Professor Harold Hill's 46-sponsorless attack has him hiding and said he'll be stronger. And watch MSNBC, he says, for a terrible event.
Gold - Those douchenozzles of Rep. Wally Herger (R-CA) are now on videotape. Now all of those involved are making up lies about it.

Number 1: Mis Wasilla 1984 stood up another group in Alaska after praising Prof. Harold Hill, and meanwhile, embattled Gov. Mark Sanford (R-SC) is now possibly Hiking The Old Impeachment TrailSM by avoiding the possible impeachment by holding a presser, and Christian Finnegan delivers the punchline, thank you.

And don't forget (weather permitting here in Philly), JFein will be in for me tomorrow night. I'll see you on Monday (8/31).

Countdown Live Blog: 8/25/09

The Tie: Pink, cream and lavender stripes.

Number 5: Herr Goebles issued a statement that Enhanced Interrigation Techniques waterboarding and torture did work on al Qaeda, denouncing the decision by DoJ and the CIA to investigate this. One of those that was investigated was asked 183 times, and nearly died. And needless to say the least., Rep. Conyers and Sen. Leahy agreed that an investigation and Special Prosecutor is needed. John Siften from The Daily Beast joins us for his view. And Jonathon Turley then joins us to examine what's next.

N
umber 4: Sen. Charles Grassley (R-IA) continues to lie about opposing the Public Option because "there has to be options" and a decendent of Ike said he'd take a gun to "Hitler". Michael Steele Sieve said Medicare has to be cut and Sen. Tom Colburn (R-OK) had no heart. Just like The Tin Man. Chris Hayes from The Nation discovers nothing.

Oddball: 100 years ago, Michael Reddy was born. Remember him in "The Day The Earth Stood Still"? Spanish snail races. "Look at that escargo!" In Tokyo, the world's biggest origami event was held.

Best Persons: 3 - Simon Holden stole beer and went to apply to the same store. 2 - The Pentagon will interview those to those embedded. 1 - Skeezix went out on MSNBC and mentioned the Toledo Mud Hens.

Musical Segue: "All I Want To Do Is Dream" by The Everly Brothers.

Number 3: A Special Report on the United Health Group, who stands to make lots of money if and when the Public Option is deleted. Video later.

Number 2 (Worst Persons in the World)
Bronze - Prof. harold Hill attacked colorofchange.org on his comments about "racist" Obama comments.
Silver - Former beauty contestant Grethcen Carlson missed a lot of the appointees.
Gold - Matt LaVoi, spokesperson for Rep. Wally Herger (R-CA) who criticized a guy for being proud to be a "far right wing terrorist", and dubbed it "satire". What a troika of douchenozzles.

Number 1: Death Panels, death book, death spam, and now: ZOMBIES! Yes, the Good Oldboysandgirls Party might be going to the zombies page of their nut gathering book on health care reform. Braaaaaaaainssss... Shawn of the Dead? Max Brooks will now tell more. You might know his father, Mel Brooks, he of Spaceballs, The Producers and Young "Frahn-ken-steen"...

As for Comedian Boss Limbaugh, what a maroon! See you tomorrow.

Monday, August 24, 2009

Countdown Live Blog: 8/24/09

The Tie: Maroon with cream micropindotsTM.

Number 5: A federal judge released the papers of the Adolph XLIII Gestapo on torture, and there will be a Special Prosecutor named John Brennan, the same John Brennan who approved mock executions, death threats, abuse worse than the enhanced interrigation techniques waterboarding, but there will be no prosicution of Herr Goebles Cheney? Jane Mayer fron The New Yorker explains it all... and Col. Lawrence Wilkerson, USA (Ret.) follows with his insight.

Number 4: The Good Oldboysandgirls Party that has The Madness of the Sen. Charley Grassley (R-IA) said that he responded to a question of used by President Obama who rebuted it. Sen. John McCain rebuted his running mate Miss Wasilla 1984, and Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT) shot it down, and Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-) will use fillibuster (I hardly knew her!) proofing. Lawrencve O'Donnell, shadowboxing won't work.

Oddball: It was on this date in 1980, Keith ran into that MTA Route 7, which led to Dr. Renee Richards' operation. No, not that one. Ich Bien Ein Berlino, into Melanie Brown's piggyback ride. Also in Germany, Markus Schmidt popped the question stacking 150 bales of hay.

Best Persons: 3 - Cresole, England mayor Ian Stafford was caught wearing purloined ladies' panties. 2 - Nicolle Wallace an aide on Adolph XLIII's color coded system movement by Tom Ridge and is a wuss. 1 - Sen. Joe Lieberman said Alec Baldwin should run against him for Senate.

Musical Segue: "R-E-S-P-E-C-T" by A-RETH-A!

Number 3: Death Panels. Death Book. Death Spam...lovely Spam, wonderful Spam! (Monty Python joke!) The joke that is the GOP is at this hour reaching for straws. Fixed News actor Chris Wallace (whose father, Mike will give a talking to, in, say... 60 Minutes) told all about the "death book" from the VA used and dated by the Adolph XLIII Gestapo from The Murdoch Street Journal from Jim Tomey's Faith and Values department on euthanasia. Soundtrack by The Grateful Dead? Eugene Robinson will pull the plug on this in 3...2...1...!

Number 2 (Worst Persons in the World)
Bronze - Skeezix is confused on health care.
Silver - And Prof. Harold Hill is back from vacation suspension now without 33 advertisers, and again pushing the tsars/czars commie crap.
Gold - Rep. Wally Herger (R-CA) said that a visitor to a proud terrorist, and said "God bless you." What a pair of douchenozzles.

Number 1: It's official. Michael Jackson's death was murder. The update from Gerald Posner that it was indeed Jacko's personal doctor.

See you tomorrow night.

Countdown Live Blog: 8/12/09

The Tie: Sage green. Looks like the fall collection must be coming out.

Number 5: Sen. Charles Grassley (R-IA) has become a two-faced liar. So has Sen. Johnny Isakson (R-GA). This after President Obama praised them for helping out on the Health Care reform. Grassley said that you have every right to fear about those "death panels" and lost $1.2 million from Big Pharma. Isakon co-sponsored a bill on living wills, and Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), probably the only sane Good Oldboysandgirls Party member in The Last Frontier blasted Tina Fey's Evil Twin Sister on that subject. Mama Bear Ariana Huffington joins us to seek theat bipartianism needed to settle this.

Nutcases are coming up, now anti-government militas are on the raise. The Southern Poverty Law Center now claims that a changing demographic, with hispanics and many others coming into the country, and President Obama in charge. Mark Potok joins us from said SPLC headquarters for more about this.

Number 4: Professor Harold Hill is losing everything, especially after his racist comments on President Obama hating white people: his mind, his cred and now his advertisers. SC Johnson (A Family Company), Sargento Cheese, Progressive Insurance (Flo just delivered a double barrel bird flip a la Stone Cold Steve Austin at Beck), lawyers.com, Proctor and Gamble, Geico (The Gecko was pissed off as was Oobi getting paid), Men's Wearhouse (they sure didn't like it), and quite possibly State Farm (Like a Good Neighbor, State Farm isn't there.) Chris Hayes from The Nation joins us to seek the answers from colorofchange.org's petition.

O
ddball: Christy Mathewson was born in this day in 1870. And there was a mess in California with a semi full of tomatoes crashing into Amtrak's train. In New York City, Mentoria Hutchenson dances to direct traffic. Allen Funt did this years ago on Candid Camera.

Best Persons: 3 - ClusterFixed and Fiends' Steve Doocy has an imaginary friend. And no, it's not named Blooregard Q. Kazoo. He copied The Heritage Foundation's five questions about the Town Hall meetings. 2 - Steven Hawking snapped on Inverstor's Business Daily's commentary on the proposed US Health Care being like the UK, responding via The Guardian. And he enjoys the National Health System in the UK. 1 - Ed Morrissey blasts the far right nut jobs on training prisioners. He's also a writer for hotair.com. And a conserative. Good for you, sir!

Musical Segue: "True" by Spandau Ballet.

Number 3: Turdblossom did indeed get his hand into the cookie jar on the politically charged firing of the 2006 attorneys. So sayeth the House Judiciary Committee overseeing this. One of those who was sacked, New Mexico's David Iglesias, joins the show to tell all. And Harriet "the Spy" Meyers, noted ex-Supreme Court Justice nominee, told them about it, too. For Iglesias, this could very well be revenge, a dish served best to people of taste (or no taste whatsoever like the Adolph XLIII Gestapo) cold.

Number 2 (Worst Person on the World)
Bronze - Comedian Boss Limbaugh hates being called a Nazi. Pot, kettle, you all know Mr. Black.
Silver - Lou Dobbs claims Howard Dean forwarded left-wing facism. Called him Dracula instead. Dean's brother is calling for his sacking, so he can work in the horse stables with those illegal ailens he employs.
Gold - Skeezix claims that GE, NBC Universal's parent, made radio frequency modules as components for Iraqi roadside bombs, and it's all unconfirmed. It's all denied. And now Keith wants Bill fired. This time, it's serious.

Number 1: Did you hear Rep. Michele Bachman (R-MN DWARF PLANET PLUTO) saying that Americorps is a "secret army for President Obama?" Her son, Harrison, just joined Americorps. Cue the Carl Lewis "UH-OH!" It's the manna that keeps on giving from Minnesota. in other White House Idol 2012 news, ex-Pa. Sen. Rick Santorum (R) wants to run for President. Oh, Christian Finnegan, punchline thee.

See you tomorrow night. I'm off to watch Pedro Martinez in his Phillies debut (unless Gary Matthews is on, then my TV audio gets muted.)

Countdown Live Blog: 8/11/09

You may have noticed a little change or two as noted on the sub head of the title. ERT would have been four years old this month. So to our old friends - Becky, et al - here's a tribute on your anniversary by doing "Old School" with the ERT format.

The Tie: The color purple. It makes girls wanna make Whoopi... (Stella, aka Karen Scioli, the check's in the mail!)

Number 5: Three town meetings, three different results. President Obama held a town meeting in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The real Americans that turned out from screened guests, and protesters from the lemmings of Miss Wasilla 1984 on the "death watch" on their grandparents. Obama 44 denied the whole mess. Meanwhile, Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO) tried to pull questions from a fishbowl. That turned into an immediate shouting match and booing on abortion questions, and even asked if anyone wanted to drop Medicare. And there was a fight. Sen. Arlen Specter (D-PA) was asked if ever read the Koran from a guest who was ejected for protesting too much. meanwhile, President Obama forefronted his speech stating there will be options that will make them affordable, and no one will be cut between you and the doctor. Lawrence O'Donnell, throw your two cents in.

Number 4: Meanwhile, a man with a firearm that was a protester - Richard Ryan - at 9:40 AM EDT and was arrested. See you in court. Meanwhile, we have the racism daily double: Black congressman, a swatiska vandalized on his office sign. Rep. David Scott (D-GA) the victim. Meanwhile, a Michigan Democratic representative faced worse than those in the 1960's, and two reps in Florida had a health care town meeting, and one of them was angered to see so much racism and wrong things, that person left. Prof. Mellissa Lacewell Harris from Princeton University joins us recalling her youth in the 1970s.

Oddball: On this date in 1946, Marilyn vos Savant was born. yes, that's her real name... In Thailand, a baby elephant fell into a manhole. Cue the bulldozer, and the Dumbo jokes. In Holland, another flying bicycle...bicycle...I love to ride my bicycle...

Best Persons (The Big Lies about universal Health Care): 3 - Inverstor's Business Daily says Steven Hawking would not qualify for British National Health Care. 2 - Gregg Jarrett blames Nancy Pelosi as a Nazi on Fixed Noise. 1 - Sen. David Vitter (R-LA) says the angry mobs are welcomed at his anti-health care meeting.

Musical Segue: Some sorta Motown music.

Number 3: So, where did Tina Fey Evil Twin Sister's fear of death panels for Universal Health Care come from? How about poor management of her state's health system for the elderly. Federal results saw those in The Last Frontier were plagued with problems. Sen. John Isakson (R-GA) has even denounced it all. Shannyn Moore (no, NOT Matt Hardy's Number 1 MFer) joins us from Anchorage with more.

Number 2 (Worst Persons in the World)
Bronze - Skeezix says too much of ratings and the cover of Parade and such. there's no news on Fixed Noise...just hate.
Silver - Prof. Niall Ferguson compared Obama to Felix the Cat in the Financial Times.
Gold - Dick Morris claims that there will be terrorized Democrats. And Fixed Noise did not do a thing at all, just like they did with Prof. Harold Hill and the Obama "racist" comments, and now have lost Geico and Sargento Cheese as sponsors of his telecast paranoia hour.

Number 1: The ashamed native Philadelphian Michele Maglagangbang Malkin is now being challenged as the voice of the new female voice of the Good Olodboysandgirls Party by Megan McCain, you know, John's daughter? The one who slammed Coltergeist and Laura Ingraham by saying that they should shut up after attacking her. BTW, is it just me or does Ingraham sound a lot like Roseanne on a bender? Chris Kofinis is here to put some insight on the whole mess.

There you have it. I will see you tomorrow night for more sanity gone mad.

Countdown Live Blog: 6/15/09

(Guest posted by JFein from Fire Andy Reid Now!)

It is definitely kind of ironic and funny that I am live blogging an episode at Countdown on the same day that I shared an elevator ride with Senator Bob Casey, Jr. (D-PA). If only I had realized it while we were in the elevator and not walking out (curse my terrible habit of day-dreaming!).

And also, if you remember the last time I live blogged an episode of Countdown, Olbermann requested a quarantine of Fox News and said that he would never again use the Ted Baxter voice to mock Bill O'Reilly. Personally, I can only distinctly recall one time where I was in a restaurant or any other public place with a TV where Fixed Noise was on and that was several months ago (before the quarantine, obviously). But since the quarantine, Keith has not mentioned Bill-O on the air. Will that continue tonight or will Bill be a WORST....PERSON.....IN THE WORLD!!! once again? On that note, let's start the show!

I'm going to try to do this a little differently this time and go with a more reaction/analysis approach rather than summarizing what Keith says. Let's see how it works!

We've got Iran, Cheney, healthcare and Bill Maher, and US Air Flight 1549 that crashed into the Hudson and the struggle between the survivors and AIG tonight.

The tie: Purple, but I must say, whomever cut Keith's hair cut it way too short.

Number 5: Mousvavi vs. Ahmadinejad is quickly becoming the Bush vs. Gore of Iran. The question has essentially become did Ahmadinejad tamper with the results? Those charts make it look like he did, and while there certainly is a chance that he might have, I would highly doubt that the election results get overturned as it would be, especially seeing as Ayatollah Khomeini has already sided with Ahmadinejad. Bobby Ghosh from Time Magazine joins us and good grief, he reminds me of my one professor with that accent. The protests on the streets and the deaths are certainly disturbing and some of those images are hard to watch. And despite all of the political back-and-forth in the United States, it is nice to see that most protests are relatively civil here with nothing like what is going on in Iran happened here.

The neo-cons who were at once indifferent to the Iranian presidency as the aforementioned Ayatollah is the supreme ruler in Iran, however, now they are upset and partly blame President Obama for the results as it was Bush's tough foreign policy that kept things in order there. Steve Clemons from the New America Foundation has more. That footbage of the protests is still hard to watch. It's making me want to change the channel and watch something else. At least when O'Reilly does his Culture Warriors segment, there's something half decent to look at. ;-)

What do you guys think? Will the election be overturned? While it would certainly better the U.S. if it was, I don't think there is a rat's chance in hell of that happening.

We've got Letterman and Palin, Cheney, and AIG, U.S. Airways, and a survivor from that flight on the Hudson still to come so stay with us.

Number 4: Is Dick Cheney hoping for another attack on the United States? Leon Panetta suggests that he might, while Cheney vehemently denied it and I would have to agree with Cheney on that. He may be a complete moron, but I would doubt that the 43rd President of the United States, er, I mean veep to the 43rd President, would want that to happen. MSNBC Political Analyst Lawrence O'Donnell joins Keith to discuss more. Going more along the lines on Cheney, his popularity numbers are going to rise. It may not rise high, it may not be above 50%, but it is going to get higher. And the same with Bush's. It is doubtful that history will judge him as the worst president ever, as some suggested would happen during his term (turns away and pretends to stare around as if I have no idea what type of person would dare think such a horrible thought....nope, nothing to see here). And Letterman apologized to Palin again. He's taking the blame for it, although Palin most definitley forced that apology by going on and on about it. While considered liberal (and thus anti-Palin) by most, Letterman is not an ill-willed person like that. He would not intentionally say something like that to and about a 14-year old girl. It is curious to see what the Palin reaction will be. Will she accept it and let bygones be bygones or will she continue to hold a grudge? Palin being the media whore that she is, could go either way. And I don't mean it like that, Miss Wasilla if you are reading this. I DON'T WANT TO HAVE TO ISSUE 15 APOLOGIES EITHER ON BEHALF OF MYSELF, JAMESCRAVEN, AND SOMEHOW EVERY LIBERAL MINDED PERSON OUT THERE FOR THAT JOKE!!!!!!!!

It looks like The Murdoch Street Journal will be up for an award later in worsts. And I have no idea what the hell that was in the Oddball preview.

Oddball: John Lennon first performed at 15 on this day and the debut of Hee-Haw? Talk about Whiskey...Tango...Foxtrot?!? So why on earth did a dog end up being flushed in the toilet?? You gotta love the innocence of a small kid who just thought he was giving the dog a bath. Blago is being able to make fun of himself in some play. Odd. I guess that's why they call it Oddball. And the legacy of Zinedine Zidane lives!!!!!!!!

Obama vs. the GOP on healthcare and AIG vs. Flight 1549 coming up in a jiffy!

Aspeaking of Zidane and soccer in general, anyone watching the FIFA Confederation's Cup? Better yet, anyone following World Cup qualifying? Talk about interesting political implications. You have Iraq in the Confederations Cup and while it is unlikely they will play the U.S. at all seeing as it is unlikely that the U.S. and Iraq will make it out of their respective group, how about the possibility that North Korea qualifies to the World Cup and then ends up in the same group as the U.S.! That would be interesting to watch for sure. And Iran could also end up qualifying.

Number 3: Should the President abondon trying to achieve a bipartisan solution? While I think they should work together, affordable health care for all is a top priority and while the GOP claims that it is socialism and does not belong in the U.S., I say f*** it! Who cares if it is socialism as long as it works and brings about a better quality of life for all. We've got Bill Maher on and he is losing hope on Obama (but he still has audacity!). Not much of a Bill Maher fan. Actually, I don't think I've ever watched him. And speaking of HBO though (wait, it's on HBO, isn't it?), anyone planning on checking out Joe Buck Live? You know what, that may not be as much of a trainwreck as some people think it will be. While I frequently laugh at announcers, Joe Buck is probably the guy that I laugh with the most. That could be a good show. Really. It could. And maybe that's because I don't hate Joe Buck as much as I know others do. I think he's just fine as a football announcer. And maybe that's because he has a good partner in Aikman who is really good when not doing Cowboys games, and the rest of the lineup on Fox is pretty much downright atrocious, including, to steal a nickname that JC has for Michelle Malkin and apply it to someone else, Ashamed-Philadelphian Dick Stockton. And come on, Fox is also the network that passes Brian Baldinger as a credible analyst! (JC: But Baldy's outta a job now!)

Jonah Goldberg is a worst person coming up. Will he win the gold? Find out next!

Number 2 (Worst Person In The World)
Bronze - The Wall Murdoch Street Journal. Obama Administration did not take over Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Bush did. And they called Obama a backdoor socialist for it. Wow....
Silver - Jonah Goldberg is claiming neo cons are conservative Jews. Yeah, I agree with Keith. I've never heard neo-cons tied with religion.
Gold - City Counil of Brooksville, Florida. They have a crazy dress code in which they require you to wear underwear and will be checking to make sure that you (yes, I'm talking about YOU) are wearing it.

Countdown has some weird commercials. That's all I'll say about that. U.S. Airways survivors vs. AIG coming up next. Insurance people can be such bags of douche at times that it is not even funny.

Number 1: AIG is not willing to pay for psychological counciling for the survivors of U.S. Airways Flight 1549. Tess Sosa, a survivor from that flight comes on to tell us more about AIG's douchebaggery. They're only giving three sessions per passenger??? God, that's cheap. Yeah, um, from what little bit I know about that type of therapy, you need more than three sessions to get that kind of stuff done.

"I think that a lot of the public are empathetic to us." - Tess Sosa

I would hope that all of the public would be empathetic to those survivors. Then again, what the hell do I know?

That's it for me today! Thanks for joining me all! Time to watch the debut of Joe Buck Live on HBO! I'll be back tomorrow for more Countdown and I think I'm doing I Survived A Japanese Gameshow on Wednesday.

Countdown Live Blog: 5/21/09

The Tie: Red with white micropindots.

Number 5: In the corner to your left, the 44th President of the United States, Barack Hussein Obama. And in the corner on your right, the former Vice President of the United States, The Ayatollah Dickcheney. The neocons applauded twice to the American Enterprise Institute speech, but Obama got the knockout punch. Gitmo was a recruting school for terrorism. And it wasn't Obama who let them free. Two-thirds of them were released in the Adolph XLIII Gestapo Herr Goebbles was involved with, and some of the transferees will go to SuperMax prisions. Just ask Sen. Lindsay Graham (R-FL), a JAG attorney in the Army Reserves. And again, President Obama rejeceted waterboarding as a device to get them to talk. Cheney told him that he can take those points and shove it. Bullshit. I'll spare you the rest of the bullshit from the past, including the Saddam Hussein/Al-Qaeda 9-11 connection.

Number 4: For more on the current and former administrations views is Col. Lawrence Wilkerson, USA (Ret.), the former Chief of Staff under Gen. Colin Powell, USA (Ret.)
Update from TheInatitFund@gmail.com: Twenty-nine days. Do we need to carry on?

Number 3: Meanwhile, those six Democratic senators were spared the wrath of Obama as that 56 other partyy members voting against closing Gitmo. Howard Fineman, what are your comments?

Number 2 (Worst Persons in the World)

Bronze - Billo says he's middle class even though he makes $10 million, and his complaint about NYPD random frisking is being challeneged by the ACLU.
Silver - Rep. John Boehner claims the CIA lied to Congress.
Gold - Prof. Harold Hill wants an apology from Baba Wawa. Roll that beautiful View footage. Now shut up.

Number 1: Keith's special comment on Cheney's lies. Video below.

See you tomorrow.

Countdown Live Blog: 5/20/09

The Tie: Brown, cream and black stripes.

Number 5: Wow, that bipartisan thing finally worked out well. The Democrats jumped to the other side of Adolph XLIII land after a 90-6 on the money for Gitmo's closing. The reason? A lack of focus on a plan and some others returning to terrorism. Eleven of them. And those comments of Sen. James Imhoffe (R-OK) echoing last night's WTF moment about prisoners get better healthcare than our common public...Ummmm, okay. Richard Wolffe, your thoughts?
Add some BREAKING NEWS that the first detainee at Club Gitmo - Ahmed Ghailiani -will come to New York in a civilian court soon.

There's a supermax in a small town outside Helena, Montana called Hardin that wants many of 100 detainees right now as we speak. Here's that city's economic director, Greg Smith, to tell us about it from that site.

Number 4: Newt Gingrich, thaty noted pathological controdiction said that CIA lying to a Democrat isn't okay as he said today on GMA. it's not politics, but national security as it were. Tell it to Peter Hokstera...and Leon Panetta, the CIA director. Any fresh ideas, Jonathon Alter?

Oddball:
TheInatitFund@gmail.com update has been four whole weeks since Inanity's waterboarding proclaimation. FORE! One golfshot into Petco Park (PETA's worst nightmare) gives you free appitizers at P. F. Chang's with any purchase. Video proof below.

And disturbing, er, good news from the Space Station...three of the guests drink recycled number one.

Number 3: It will not be the Democrat Socialist Party, but the Good Oldboysandgirls Party says now that the Democrats are marching toward socialist policies. And they claim it was to be a success. Say hello to Miss Wasilla 1984, Evil Twin of Tiny Fey supports him with that teabagging comment and we'll greet The New Yorker's Ryan Lizza to let you have this sink in.

Number 2 (Worst Person in the World)

Bronze - Gov. Rick Perry (R-TX) will face Kay Bailey hutchenson, but his spokesperson says he doesn't want a whorehouse.
Silver - Billo and Comedian Boss Limbaugh gets called out as frauds by...Michael Weinersavage?!
Gold - Prof. Harold Hill got P\/\/N3D by Baba Wawa and Whoopi Goldberg, and they had the video to prove it. Memorial services for his attitude and his credibility will be at the Church of St. Ego of the Arrogance on Friday.

Number 1:
On the subject of Mr. Limbaugh, he now wants a 30-day truce between Keith and him for that footage of Boss Limbaugh bouncing around. All we can say is WHISKEY...TANGO...FOXTROT!?

See you tomorrow.

Countdown Live Blog: 5/18/09

The Tie: Pink.

Number 5: We learned today that Adolph XLIII was told by a higher authority to go to war in Iraq, and we ain't talking about Donald Rumsfeld, which had scripture from The Bible with pictures below. GQ's Robert Draper said a Muslim inside the Pentagon was offended, but they liked it outside the religion. Richard Wolffe, WTF is going on whatsoever that is holier than Adolph XLIII?

To guide us into The Holy Bible, let's welcome Bapist Minister Rev. C. Welton Gaddy to provide insight to the whole thing.

Number 4: President Obama's commencement speech at Notre Dame was a mantra and was interrupted 25 times for applause and once for an anti-abortion protest. And he added that any health care plan must include help for sensible abortions and adoption, plus he wanted a common ground for future battles. So E.J. Dionne, how'd he do?

Oddball: Today's
TheInatitFund@gmail.com update stands at 26 days of Inanity singing The Sounds of Silence. Hello, darkness, my old friend... And it's Jesus as a Cheeto. Jesus as a Cheeto! Yes, the Bell family are planning to sell it on eBay, with the winning bid expected to be from GolenPalace.com Mr. I. P. Dailey from Yellow River, Texas. In Bubbio Italy, the candle race is fixed like a WWE match. And Inchon, South Korea's best billiard player doesn't use a cue.

Best Persons: 3 - Mrs Blago will replace her husband on I'm A Celebrity Bail Me Out! 2 - The cancelled parade of bodybuilders in Bulgaria was because of drug testing. 1 - Well, look below and see who was hired by ESPN. Apology much for sources?

Musical Segue: Theme from Monday Night Football.

Number 3: Herr Goebbles' daughter Lynn was asked on ABC's This Week called her dad's torture undeniable...that's what it is... And McClatchy via guest John Lanaday had an article running that Cheney will clear up everything. The little bitch also said that President was Un-American... That's right, the apples don't fall far from the tree and they're all rotten to the core. So Lynn, does the term "SEIG HEIL" mean anything?

Number 2 (Worst Person in the World)
Bronze
- Harold Jackson of The Philadelphia Inquirer defends John Woo's hiring on bloggers.
Silver -
Inanity the Coward announced the hiring of new attorneys at the DoJ. Blames it on politics.
Gold - Billo The Clown goes on the interwebs and says after over forty attacks from stalker/producers he's trying to protect you and your privacy. Get out the virual middle finger at him as he was unmerciafully booed at The New Yankee Stadium money Pit sitting next to The Donald.

Number 1:
WHISKEY...TANGO...FOXTROT!?! Good Oldhomeboysandgirls Party boss Michael "Yo Homies!" Steele wants to tie gay marriage to hurting small business. And the wedding business is a lot of small businesses making, oh, $70 billion/year.

I'm off to watch this week's WWE RAW. At least there's no arena conflict in Louvul like what's going to happen next week. The story will be linked tomorrow at Keith's Sports Journal, or you can scroll downward and read it for yourself.

Countdown Live Blog: 5/14/09

The Tie: Maroon with those funky octagon dots.

Number 5: Well, well, well... Another smoking gun discovered via House Speaker Nancy Pelosi that the Adolph XLIII administration and the CIA on all that waterboarding, all that torture, and they lied to misleading her in briefings. Meanwhile, The Good Oldboysandgirls Party are taking the side of the lawbreakers (and out-and-out liars). Former Sen Bob Graham (D-FL) accused the CIA of having not met on teirn record keeping, and had no idea on any subject. Rep. John Boehner (R-OH) was shocked, but said Pelosi's a lair. So Howard Fineman, what records of the briefings are available for you?

Number 4: Wait, it's getting worse: The Ayatollah Cheney delivered the first known waterboarding case order on an Iraqi POW on wether Saddam Hussein was connected with Osama bin Laden. This from former NBC investigative reporter Robert Wyndrem. The POW, a high security guard, realized it doesn't work. Jack Rice, the former CIA agent, puts this in focus.

As for the declassifacation of the torture notes, President Obama denied that because it's in another case.

Oddball: It has been 22 days since Inanity's waterbaording for charity challenge. Help out by making a contribution at TheInanitFiles@gmail.com. Another mistaken mother in animal husbandry, this time Josie the goat if milking a horse. In Rock Hill, SC, twenty-eigfht drummers did a drum roll for over 27 hours.

Still Bushed!: 3 - Daddy, What Did You Do In Jail During The Bailout: Take the bailout money or else to 19 banks. 2 - Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) gets the whole mess of Gitmo. 1 - David Rose of Vanity Fair said that the Sunni insurgance in 2007 coulda happened three years earlier but was stopped by The Pentagon, The State Department and The White House. Especiall;y Paul Wolfkawitz's comments that they were "Nazis".

Number 3: Shanna Moakler, Miss USA 1997, Playboy's Miss December 2001, and the former Mrs. Travis Barker (drummerof Blink 182) resigned this week as director of Miss California USA because of Carrie Prejean being kept by the Donald because of her anti-gay marriage stance. We covered that in the WTF Moment on Tuesday (5/12), but here comes Miss Wasalia 1984, who doesn't think that Miss Universe organization agrees with the far left. Tina Fey's Evil Twin Sister said she relates to being attacked by the far left. And Hilary and Obama had different views of marriage, so Margaret Carlson, what the heck's going on here?

Number 2 (Worst Persons in the World)
Bronze - Billo The Clown again pedals the hate card.
Silver - Prof. Harold Hill made a comment of exhaling as polution.
Gold - Michael Leahy has as problem with paying taxes...and he is the founder of the Tea Party movement!

Number 1: And those WPitW winners all pale in comparison to this little note: When another "blog" says you're using your mother's death as an excuse to explode at your bosses, then and only then it becomes the WHISKEY TANGO FOXTROT?!? Moment. Here's the video.

This is gettin' kinda nutty around here, but I'll catch you tomorrow.

Countdown Live Blog: 5/11/09

The Tie: Light blue stripes.

Number 5: Herr Goebles plans to throw Adolph Bush XLIII under the bus. New intel, and ratting out Adolph XLIII in this round. A 2004 CIA Inspector General memo will be removed, but much of it is out with censorship worthy of Soviet Union gestapo. Dick was on Face The Nation speaking on the honorable way on holding the Geneva Convention hopstage. Prof. Jonathon Turley reads the tealeaves.

Number 4: Given a pick between Gen. Colin Powell (USA, Ret.) and Comedian Boss Limbaugh, Herr Cheney Goebles chose de facto GOP leader Limbaugh. And he returned the favor today, while Sen. John McCain, the non-winner of the 2008 Presidential election (R-AZ) said the Good Oldboysandgirls Party has room for moderates so as long as the leaders don't moderate, correct Eugene Robinson?

Oddball: TheInanitFund@gmail.com Update: Ninteen days and counting since Inanity made the statement on waterboarding himself for charity. The silence is deafening... To save money on gas, a new race car in England is scheduled to run on chocolate. Sweet! And at Shitty Field, Baba Booey, Howard Stern's producer threw out the first pitch Saturday...right at the umpire.

Best Persons: 3 - Carrie Prejean breached the contract on Miss California USA and will be decided by Donald Trump. She'll be fired and then be forced to be on the next Celebrit Apprentice. 2 - Al Perkins stole $3,100 in cash but left his wallet at the bank on the teller's counter. Nice move, Al. 1 - Karta the Orangutan made an attempt to escape from the German Zoo she was in, but didn't.

Musical Segue: The Animals' "We Gotta Get Outta This Place".

Number 3: Once again, Billo the Clown steps on the rakes that is World War II history. This time, defending the Nazis, defaming Winston Churchill. Oh, President Obama was correct. Video below for you history buffs.

Visit msnbc.com for Breaking News, World News, and News about the Economy

Number 2 (Worst Person in the World, Connect The Dots With Pirate Rupert Edition)
Bronze - Richard Johnson of the Page Six of One of new York's Finest Newspapers takes a shot at NBC, which is Luke Rupert's happening. BTW, that vanity paper down 21% in circulation.
Silver - Newt Gingrich went on Fixed Noise Sunday to suggest terrorist on welfare, and says waterboarding was not illegal.
Gold - Brain Kilmeade, ex-sportscaster on Fixed and Fiends, said that in a discussion on The DaVinci Code, Angels and Demons said even if Gallelo was innocent on hericy, he would have dies anyway. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot alert!

Number 1: In case you missed the annual White House Corospondents' Association clusterfuck mas grande annual dinner and Dean Martin Memorial Roast (mostly because Keith was there in person as seen in the May 10 post), here's the best zingers from Shecky Obama (opening this weekend at The Bethesda Chuckle Hut) and guest star Wanda Sykes. Especially that Boss Limbaugh 20th hijacker line, right Richard Wolffe? Your video is here.

Visit msnbc.com for Breaking News, World News, and News about the Economy

Quick reminder, JFein's here tomorrow night unless that Shuster fellow fills in, then all bets are off. Speaking of going off, time to watch WWE RAW.

Countdown Live Blog: 5/7/09

The Tie: Black with gray micropindots.

Number 5: While losing Spector is one thing, but now Joe The So-Called Plumber tells Time because he is leaving the Good Oldboysandgirls Party because they're overspending money. NO! And Newt Gingrich visited The White House, and it wasn't for a 2012 photo op. And Miss Wasalia 1984's popular opinion fell in fifteen months by 31%. Well, Richard Wolffe, has the GOP run out of ideas? And then, Shannyn Moore from HuffPo is in Anchorage to get the Tina Fey Evil Twin Sister angle.

Number 4: In defending the lawyers to tell torture, so when Eirc Holder - the Attorney General - was told about the Clinton Administration for transferring prisioners if he decides to go after Herr Goebles Cheney. Defending Fredo as The Little Guy? Brandon Friedman from VoteVets.org and author joins us.

Oddball: Fifteen days since Inanity wanted to be waterbaorded for charity. Help us out at
TheInatitFiles@gmail.com. Every penny or dollar helps. One ginormous box of popcorn, please and people looked for prizes in London. Shanelle the dauschound terned 21 yesterday.

Best Persons: 3 - Jenna Lee of Fixed Going Out of Business is completely clueless...just like their viewer. 2 - Ron Gordon forgot about "Odd Day". 1 - Molly the Cow was lead to the slaughterhouse and escaped. And thanks to the ASPCA, will live in Long island.

Musical Segue: I'm a cow...moo!

Number 3: The Confederate States of America are not so alive and well. Only 9% of the GOP want to suceede from the union, and soverignity rules were passed in three states, and saying Chris Hayes from The Nation seems to think this is fascinating...and a case of treason.

Number 2 (Worst Persons in the World, The Fixed Noise All-Star Edition)
Bronze - Inanity claimed that Obama used mustard on hamburger. Dijon mustard. Pardon me, do you want any Grey Poupon?
Silver - Billo talks about the hate crimes protecting pedophiles but not of the military. It's all fake if you cannot believe it.
Gold - Prof. Harold Hill is falling behind on ACORN, and was played like a $3 banjo on someone's knee by an ACORN spokesperson. Prof. Hill then shut his mike off, ejects him from the studio, but the the ACORN guy asks Glenn's producer out on a date. Brainwashing much, Harold?

Number 1: As stated earlier today, Manny Ramirez was suspended for 50 games for using something used by the Octomom...to make Little ManRam happy if you catch my drift. On behalf of myself, I would like to say to Manny "Thanks for ruining my trip to The Vault Tuesday night (5/12) except for the $1 hotdogs." Well, I'll make fun of him with a few fans I know... (That's the next time JFein will fill in for me BTW, so if you're reading this Justin, you know the drill.) Manny now joins A-R*d, Mark McGwire, Sammy Sosa, Barry Bonds, Jason Giambi and Roger Clemens in the Steroid/PED Hall of Shame. All with the asterisk that once graced Roger Maris' name. Richard Justice from the Houston Chronicle, hello!

And for us, goodnight. See you tomorrow.

Countdown Live Blog: 5/6/09

The Tie: A new one, this being in a brown, black and silver pattern.

Number 5: Herr Goebles will sure as hell continue to run President Obama's administration into the ground. If he claimed to look out for the little guy, we have a pile of bullshit so damn high, even Adolph XLIII wouldn't stand for it. So, who is in charge defending Abu Gahrib because he opens his mouth on what is going on, and so Howard Fineman wonders what is going on nowadays.

Meanwhile, the de facto leader of the Good Oldboysandgirls Party, Comedian Boss Limbaugh has opened his mouth and inserted his foot yet again...mocking the actual guys who are suffering in the recesion. And this from a man who maked $400M/year and Clear Channel laid off 1,200 people. Meanwhile, Rep. Eric Cantor (R-VA) claims that the New America crap is a anti-listening tour. And Colin Powell blames the Comedian for the downfall of the GOP, and Limbaugh wants to have Powell leave the diminishing party. Okay Pulitzer Prize winner Eugene Robinson, what say you about the Brainwashing by the Comedian?

Number 4: When a rejected nominee to Ambassador to the UN on the GOP side attacks President Obama - namely John Bolton - spent much of the time in an op-ed about the torture then brings up John Erlichaman by leaving Spanish lawyers who are investigating by leaving them "twisting slowly in the wind", then you must be required to bring John Dean for a discussion.

Oddball: Two weeks since Inanity said that he wanted to be waterboarded for a veterans' charity. Please help out by making your cash contribution to TheInanitFund@gmail.com. Remember, we're donating a penny a second for his water torture, and it gets doubled if Inanity admits he was going to wet his pants fearing for his life. For those of you wishing that Bonnie Prince Charlie is a toad waiting to be kissed, we hate to break the news to you, but the answer is no and both actually moved. So have a lot of celebs. And in Chicago, there was an ATM robbery connected with Lex Luthor.

Best Persons: 3 - Remember Jean Musgjred and the illeagal walkoff stuff yesterday? She forgot. And it wasn't aware about the warning part. 2 - Jacqui Smith, the UK's home secratary banned fifteen others, including Weinersavage which was mentioned yeaterday (5/5). 1 - An enraged man in Germany can't remember the greeting card was being mistaken for next door neighbors blasting music.

Musical Segue: The Temptations' "It's The Same Old Song." MO-TOWN!

Number 3: Sen. Arlen Spector (D-PA) was stripped of Republican seniority on many committes, as done by Majority leader Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) last night. Oh, he joked about the Norm Coleman, and blamed himself on the call. Joe Lockhart, ex-White House press secretary under Bill Clinton, is here to pull back.

Number 2 (Worst Persons in the World)
Bronze - Turdblossom has never heard of this guy called reality. He studied three months until they got John Roberts, and then two months later, that Harriet Meyers nomination!
Silver - Billo trashed The Boss on Pete Seeger's 90th Birhday. No stats to back them up?
Gold - Pirate Rupert's NewsCorpse wrecked ashore as income falls 47%. Newspapers down 99%. TV stations down 99%. Keith mocks Billo again complete with hand gestures. Arrrrrr...

Number 1: Tina Fey's Evil Twin Sister's daughter "Happiness is seeing" Bristol "in your rear-view mirror" is once again promoting absotence on Today and GMA. Meanwhile, the jilted boyfriend of hers appeared on The Early Show and called it a crock. Meanwhile, Good Day Wherever sucks. And mommy was unavailable for comment. Welcome MSNBC's new host, Dylan Ratigan, starting Monday in the AM to discuss.

We'll see you tomorrow night...thankfully.

Countdown Live Blog: 5/1/09

The Tie: Pink.

Number 5: Judge David Souter will retire as Supreme Court justice at the end of this term, and President Obama will look for his replacement pronto. Someone with a sharp mind, understanding justice and identifying the struggles. Souter was nominated by George H. W. Bush back in 1991, so the book is wide open and would be seated in October. Ryan Lizza from The New Yorker is here to answer everything.

And back to torture. A former CIA agent was shocked to see one of those waterbaorded 83 times, but now two outsiders are being blamed for this according to ABCNews.com. And someone in the Senate said they didn't now, so Jonathon Alter, why do we now we have freelancers?

Number 4: Among the dozen senators voting against the 1.7 million homeowners...Sen. Arlen Spector (D-PA). That killed an amendment that would have spared them from having their houses foreclosed. Mrs. Bear, Arianna Huffington, joins us.

Oddball: Nine days since Inanity wats to be waterboarded. If you want to make a contribution higher than my one cent a second, doubled if he feared for his life, e-mail me at TheInanitFund@gmail.com. Akward promotion of the month: "Kiss The Pig" in suburban Chicago for a beauty school. Put the cliched lipstick on that pig, please. In Thousand Oaks, California, the Hollywood Wax Museum is going out of business and they're selling the statues like crazy.

Best Persons: 3 - A Alabama man kept a gun on his bed, so what happens when he tried to sleep with it? 2 - A Boston talk show host (Jay Severin) has been suspended by WTKK-FM for blaming the Mexicans for the swine flu. 1 - Teresa Tambunting took some gold home with her. About 500 pounds...from her jewel maker.

Musical Segue: I Take It One Piece At A Time...

Number 3: "Hello, I'm Steven Colbert. You know how this works. I play an idiot." That's what the host of The Colbert Report says to every guest backstage before every show. Was that the reason he was banned from the White House Correspondents' Dinner under Adolph XLIII? Students at The Ohio State University saw clips and a good number thought he was conserative. The study's author, Heather LaMarre, joins us.

Number 2 (Worst Persons in the World)
Bronze - Billo the Clown said that "Kelly McGillis is a lesbian". This is a pinhead.
Silver - Another Fixed Noise person, Major Garrett, blames the Obama Administration on why he didn't call on him, and said everyone else was a cheerleader for the White House.
Gold - Rep. Dr. Paul Brown (R-GA) turned swine flu into a racial epitath when the 23-month old child who died last week was termed as a illeagal alien.

Number 1: So Southern California in 2002, Boise State and Utah this year all wanted to play for the national championship in the Bowl Championship Series (or the BCS, but drop the "C" and see what it really is): Communism according to Rep. Joe Barton (R-TX), who dropped the "C" word in a hearingtoday that was well attended. Like, say, the Poinsettia Bowl. VH1's "Best Week Ever" host Paul F. Tompkins will try to answer that.

Have a great weekend, and I'll tell you more about WordGirl this weekend.
